Overview

VIP is supplied as a lyophilized powder ready for reconstitution with bacteriostatic water. Each vial ships with a documented Certificate of Analysis available on request, including HPLC chromatograms and mass spectrometry confirmation of identity. Reconstitution

Reconstitute with bacteriostatic water (0.9% benzyl alcohol) for short-term laboratory storage. Direct the diluent down the side of the vial rather than onto the lyophilized cake, then swirl gently until fully dissolved. Do not shake vigorously. Volume should be selected to produce the working concentration required by the protocol — see our reconstitution guide for worked examples.

Storage

Store the lyophilized vial at −20°C, desiccated and protected from light. After reconstitution, store at 2–8°C and use within 14–30 days, depending on stability data for the specific sequence. Aliquot at the time of reconstitution to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Research Notes

VIP has been the subject of multiple peer-reviewed investigations. Researchers should consult primary literature (PubMed, Google Scholar) before designing experiments and confirm dose-ranges, vehicle compatibility, and analytical methods against the published methodology. The accompanying COA should be filed with experimental records to support reproducibility.
